All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement provided at the time of booking confirmation or vehicle pickup. In the event of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.

Eligibility Criteria

Requirements for Vehicle Rental

• To hire a vehicle from Car Hire Malvern, you must be at least 21 years old, although age restrictions may differ based on the vehicle type, with extra charges applicable for drivers under 25. You must possess a valid full driving licence relevant to the vehicle category, maintained for the minimum duration outlined in the Rental Agreement. Valid identification and proof of current address are required, along with payment information and a security deposit. Please ensure you meet any additional criteria specified in the Rental Agreement.

3. Reservations and Payments

• Reservations can be made via our website, over the phone, or directly at our Malvern office. A deposit may be needed to confirm your booking. The total payment and security deposit are generally required when you pick up your vehicle. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely through trusted payment providers.

Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off

• At the time of vehicle collection in Malvern, it is essential to conduct a thorough inspection and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed by both parties. The vehicle must be returned in the same state as it was collected, accounting for normal wear and tear. Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the booking type and the notice provided. For precise information, consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or no-shows could incur additional charges.

7. Restricted Activities

Prohibited uses of rental vehicles:

• Use of the vehicle for any unlawful activities is prohibited. Engaging in racing, rallying, off-roading, or other risky behaviors is not allowed. Transporting hazardous materials or substances is forbidden. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is not permitted. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited. The vehicle must not be used for purposes it was not intended for. Adhering to passenger and weight limits is mandatory. Driving outside the specified geographical boundaries requires prior approval.

Breach of these terms could lead to rental termination and extra fees.

8. Liability Limitations

To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Malvern will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our maximum liability for any claim will not exceed the rental amount paid in the last 12 months. This limitation does not affect liability for death or personal injury due to negligence, or for fraudulent activities.
